Class Policies and Requirements

Class Policies:

All dogs and puppies must have been seen by a veterinarian before attending class. Dogs are required to be current on Parvo, Distemper and Rabies (Rabies if over 16 weeks old). Fecal exams are required annually to detect internal parasites. We also recommend Bordetella.

All dogs must be in good health and free of parasites in order to attend class. You may attend class without your dog in the event that your dog is ill.

If you have a bitch in season it is your responsibility to contact your instructor for permission to attend class. Most likely you will be asked to leave her at home.

The first class period is mandatory for puppy kindergarten and beginning obedience class.

Paws Abilities Dog Training does not issue refunds.

A responsible adult must attend class each week if the handler is under 18.

In the event of bad weather your instructor will call you to cancel class. When class is cancelled for any reason an additional week will be added to the end of your class.

A Paws Abilities Beginning Obedience or Puppy Kindergarten class (or equivalent) is a prerequisite to all other classes. If this is your first Paws Abilities Class and you are signing up for any class other than Beginning Obedience or Puppy Kindergarten, please call us at 507-288-5050 prior to enrolling.
