Puppy Home Visit

A puppy home visit is designed to help you and you new pup get started on the right paw.

This home visit will ideally take place within the first 10 days that your pup is at home. A qualified instructor will come to your house and help you to set up a routine to housetrain your new puppy. We will make suggestions on where to have your new pup sleep and how to leave them during the day while you are away at work.

We will teach you how to properly socialize your new puppy and with whom they should be socialized, as well as answering questions about why socialization is so important. There is a small window of opportunity for socialization and you should be making good use of the time that you have.

Is your puppy biting you? We will help with this too, and teach you how to train your puppy to have a soft mouth and good bite inhibition.

We will make suggestions of appropriate toys for your pup to play with as well as which toys to avoid. You'll learn how to play with your puppy and which kinds of play you should avoid.

We will help with introductions to children and other pets in the home .

We will take time to answer any questions that you have that are specific to your situation.

Finally, we will take time to find out from your entire family what you want your dog to be like when they are fully grown adults. Then we will help you put a plan into action so that your pup will grow up to be the dog that you and your family will love having around for years to come.
