Advanced Agility

Advanced Agility eligibility is only by appointment of the instructor, for teams who have fully developed Intermediate Agility skills. It is for dogs and owners who are performing all obstacles at full height and can smoothly run as a team through intermediate level courses. Agility courses in this class are intermediate to advanced levels. As dogs progress, new skills are introduced:

  1. Height (for dogs over 14 months)
  2. Distance handling - working away from the owner
  3. Directional handling - sending the dog to the right and left, coming toward the owner and away from the owner
  4. Obstacle discrimination - having the dog choose between two or more obstacles

This class develops more advanced handling techniques and further preparing those who wish to compete. Many take Advanced Agility just for fun, yet you will be learning and practicing competitive rules during class. Dogs at this level are fully-prepared for competition at the Novice and Open levels.

Class size is limited to six dogs.
